Given, the increasing globalization of the profession, the interest of Canadian Architects in practicing throughout the world, the increasing number of foreign architects and graduates in architecture seeking to settle and work in Canada, the CACB is interested in playing a leadership role in promoting Canadian systems of quality assurance in architectural education and licensure, and in assisting countries in the process of establishing similar systems of their own.

The CACB is one of the six accreditation/validation agencies in architectural education that has signed the Canberra Accord, which is intended to facilitate the portability of educational credentials between the countries whose accreditation/validation agencies signed the Accord.
