Program Descriptions

The professional Master of Architecture degree is a Canadian Architectural Certification Board accredited program that prepares graduate students for the practice of architecture. The program aims to develop critical, creative, and independent thinking and research that responds to current design issues and societal and environmental changes.

Program Structure

The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape offers a three-year, CACB accredited, Master of Architecture degree that prepares students for The John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design offers a three-year, CACB accredited, Master of Architecture degree that prepares students to enter the world of practicing architects. The Program offers two pathways:

  • a three-Year Program open to applicants from a undergraduate in any discipline; and
  • an advancement placement two-year Program open to applicants who hold a non-professional Bachelor’s degree in architectural studies, environmental design, or a comparable degree focusing on the built environment
