ARCHITECT
Baldwin is a British Columbia based architect with a background in social sciences and planning who is currently working in private practice. His current professional interests are centered around interdisciplinary examinations of the relationships between research, policy, and practice, and the social and cultural contexts that inform their framing, development, and implementation. He also currently serves on the boards of several local non-profit societies, mainly in the areas of food security, community resiliency, and affordable housing. He is also a member of the Registration and Licensing Board at the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, and serves as its current chair.
Engagement Statement
I am interested in joining the board at the CACB as I have an ongoing interest in broader regulatory and governance issues of the profession, and feel that my background at the AIBC Registration and Licensing Board can provide the CACB with insights from a regional regulatory perspective.
