Reporting & Deadlines

To maintain accreditation, Programs must provide the CACB with the following detailed information to ensure continuous compliance with established accreditation standards and procedures.

Annual Report

The purpose of the Annual Report is to maintain accurate program records and provide information on each program’s ongoing compliance with the Conditions for Accreditation throughout its accreditation term. Regardless of the Program’s term of accreditation, all programs are required to submit Annual Reports annually to maintain their accredited status.

Programs are required to submit their Annual Report each year on or before June 30. Annual Report are submitted through CACB’s Nextcloud System Program Repository. Late submission of the Annual Report is subject to fines as identified in the Accreditation Fee section.

Programs must submit the AR with the following component(s):

  • Statistical Report only is required if:
    • A site visit has just been completed;
    • An Architecture Program Report (APR) is scheduled for submission in the coming September; or
    • First year in their term of accreditation.
  • Full Report—which includes both narrative and statistical components—is required in all other years of the accreditation term.

Automatic Certification List

Automatic Certification ensures all graduates receive their CACB certificate number, enabling them to register for the Internship in Architecture Program (IAP) and continue toward licensure. As part of ongoing accreditation, all programs must submit a graduate list within one month of graduation. Upon receipt, CACB emails certification confirmation and next-step guidance from ROAC to graduates.

Focused Evaluation Report

When requiring a Program to undergo a Focused Evaluation, the CACB will clearly specify which Conditions are found to be deficient, including Program Performance Criteria and Student Performance Criteria ‘not met,’ are required to be reported on.

Programs required to undergo a Focused Evaluation, are expected to submit a Focused Evaluation Report. See section 3.2.3 of the Procedures for Accreditation. The Report is due on or before April 30 of the year in which the evaluation is scheduled.

The Focused Evaluation Report consists of a written description, with evidence (course descriptions, course assignments, and samples of work (digital or hard copy), etc.) of how the Program is addressing each condition targeted for Focused Evaluation, as addressed in the Visiting Team Report.
