Financial Assistance

The Atlantic Immigrant Career Loan Fund (AICLF) is a micro-loan fund for internationally trained immigrants in Atlantic Canada.

The purpose of the AICLF is to support internationally trained immigrants by providing micro-loans to help them overcome financial barriers. This assistance enables individuals to pursue work in their trained occupation, find opportunities in related fields, or retrain for a new career that aligns with current labour market needs.

To be eligible for the AICLF you must be an immigrant with Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status, live in Atlantic Canada (N.S., N.B., P.E.I. or N.L.), have completed your post-secondary education or career certification outside of Canada, have the required English or French language skills to successfully upgrade your credentials, and have a clear credit history with no undischarged bankruptcies

For more information or to apply, please contact Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) directly. The CACB is not able to answer questions about the AICLF program or application process.
