Rob Bateman
TREASURER
AANB, OAQ, LEED AP
Rob is a bilingual architect with considerable project experience in various building construction projects across Atlantic Canada, and New Brunswick, including complex redevelopment and renovation projects within the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.
Rob takes leadership in his project work to meet the unique needs of clients. He also provides field services during construction, including engineer systems coordination, budget and schedule reviews.
Rob is an advocate for creative design and problem solving to address what we all intuitively know: that the built environment and the spaces we create for ourselves affect the way we feel, learn, heal, interact with others and ultimately shape our communities.
CACB Engagement
Considering myself an advocate for the profession of Architecture and good design, I see my involvement with the CACB as a means of continuing and augmenting my service to the profession by involving myself in the practices and policies regarding both the educational and professional qualifications of future Architects. This role would build upon the interest I’ve developed in architectural education as both an observer and assessor of candidates in the CACB’s Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect’s program (BEFA).
Relying increasingly on my previous business school education and financial responsibilities within the firm, I believe I can fluidly become knowledgeable enough about the business and financial affairs of the CACB to offer cogent and measured advice on such issues.
