FOREIGN ARCHITECT
If you are a foreign licensed architect looking to be registered / licensed in Canada, you might be eligible for the alternative pathway to licensure in Canada.
Since 1976, the CACB has been the first point of contact for graduates from professional programs in architecture in Canada and abroad, who plan to become licensed architects in Canada.

Installation of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors
At its fall Board Meeting held on November 18-19, 2022, in Banff, AB, the Canadian Architectural Certification Board welcomed three newly elected Directors to the Board: Baldwin Hum, Shane Laptiste, and George Cotaras. Lisa Landrum’s term was renewed for three years to allow her to fulfill her new President’s role for a two-year term. The Board expressed its deepest thanks and recognition to the departing Director and past president, Nathalie Dion, for her leadership and contribution during her term.
CACB Research Initiatives
The CACB is pleased to publish the supplemental report of Phase 1 of its joint research with Mitacs, which analyzed Accreditation data from 2003 to 2019 to identify trends in Canadian architectural education. The report consists of a narrative analysis to accompany Comparative Data Graphs (2022) and CACB Research Report phase one, published in September 2021.
CACB new Strategic Plan: 2022-2025
The CACB is pleased to announce its new strategic plan for 2022-2025, developed over the last year and approved by the CACB Board at its Fall meeting on November 18-19, 2022.
The Strategic Plan 2022-2025 is the culmination of many rounds of consultation with the Members and helps frame this forward-looking document.
